Endogamy

Endogamy is when people marry, or have relationships, with people from the same group or community that they are a part of. For example, if there is an ethnic group that mostly lives in one particular area, the members of that group might practice endogamy by only marrying each other. Endogamy is usually practiced because it keeps families and communities connected.
