Astraea was a goddess in Greek mythology. She was the goddess of justice, fairness and honesty. Astraea was also the last immortal to leave the Earth, as a sign that humans were capable of looking after each other without divine help. Astraea taught people justice and how to be kind and honest to one another. When people became mean and dishonest, Astraea left the Earth and flew up to the stars, where she can still be seen: the constellation Virgo is named after her.
