Atlantropa

Atlanropa was a plan from the 1920s that wanted to turn Europe and North Africa into a giant continent. It would have been made by building giant dams across the Strait of Gibraltar that would provide electricity for everyone and create new land for people to live on. The water from the dams would have also been used to create new lakes, rivers, and valleys. People would travel between the new land and existing coastlines by boats. The plan was never finished, but it was an interesting idea for a time when people thought anything was possible.
