Authority bias

Authority bias is when we think that something is true or right just because someone in authority said so. For example, if your teacher tells you that the answer to a math equation is 8, you may believe that is the right answer even if you don't know why. This is because your teacher is an authority figure, and you trust that they know the right answer.
