ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Automated retail

Automated retail means having machines instead of people to help you buy things. It's like going to a store, but instead of seeing a store clerk or cashier, there's a machine that looks like a big vending machine with shelves inside it. You choose what you want to buy, then use your money or card to pay for it. The machine will then give you the item you bought. This can be faster than going to a regular store and can also be a lot more convenient since you don't have to wait for someone to help you or wait in line.
