Bagism

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen someone wearing a costume or a big sheet that covers their whole body? That's kind of what bagism is. It's when two people wear big bags over their heads and bodies so that no one can see who they really are.

The idea behind bagism is to cover up appearances so that everyone is treated fairly based on their ideas, rather than on what they look like. When people see someone, they often make assumptions about that person based on how they look - like their race, gender, or age. But when someone is covered up in a bag, those assumptions go away.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono were really famous musicians back in the 1960s, and they came up with the idea of bagism. They thought it was really important for people to be treated equally, no matter what they looked like. And they wanted to show that by wearing bags.

So bagism is a funny and silly way to show that appearances don't matter as much as what someone thinks or says. It's like saying, "Hey everyone, let's forget what we look like and just listen to each other!"
