Barbarism (linguistics)

Okay kiddo, so you know how people speak different languages, right? And sometimes when we don't understand someone, we might think they sound like they're saying silly or strange words. Well, sometimes people might make up their own words or change words around to sound different than how they're really supposed to sound. When people do this a lot, it's called barbarism in linguistics. It's not very nice to do because it can make it harder for people to understand each other. So it's always best to use the right words and speak clearly!
