Bhikkhuni

Okay kiddo, so you know how there are some people who dedicate their lives to being monks and nuns? Well, in some places, there are special nuns called bhikkhunis.

A bhikkhuni is a female Buddhist monk. They have the same beliefs and practices as male monks but are separate because they are women. Bhikkhunis are special because they have a deep commitment to Buddhism and dedicate their lives to studying and practicing it.

But, it wasn't always easy to be a bhikkhuni. For a long time, the tradition was only for men. But, as time went on, some brave women started fighting for their right to become bhikkhunis too.

Nowadays, there are many places where women can become bhikkhunis and continue their journey towards enlightenment. They wear special robes, follow strict rules and practices and live a very simple, peaceful and mindful life.

So, in summary, a bhikkhuni is a woman who is dedicated to Buddhism and lives a simple, mindful life like a monk. It's a special tradition that has gained more acceptance over time, but it still remains a unique and important practice for those who choose to follow it.
