ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bifocals

Bifocals are special glasses that have two different levels of strength in the lenses so people can see things that are far away and up close. Imagine you have one pair of glasses that make things far away look clear, but when you look at a book or computer screen, the words are blurry. That's because the lenses in those glasses are only made to help you see far away things. But, if you have a special pair of glasses with bifocals, the top part of the lenses will be good for seeing far away things and the bottom part will be stronger so you can see things up close like books and phones. So, when you look through your bifocal glasses, everything will be clear!
