Black flight

Black flight is when black people move away from an area where they used to live. This can happen for a few different reasons. One reason could be that the neighborhood isn't safe. Another reason could be because the neighborhood is becoming too expensive for them to afford. It could also be because the neighborhood is no longer welcoming to them. Black flight usually happens when an area starts to get too crowded and when people who have different backgrounds start to move to the area. That is known as gentrification and it can push out people who have traditionally lived in the area.
