Urban decay

Urban decay is when a city or town starts to look rundown and isn't as nice or exciting as it used to be. It usually happens when people leave an area or stop taking care of it. Buildings can look old and worn out and some areas may have a lot of litter and graffiti. There may be more empty shops and houses, and not a lot of people around. After a while, the area can start to feel unsafe and people don't want to visit.
