ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Deindustrialization

Deindustrialization means that the number of factories or other industries like mining and oil production have decreased. It means that fewer people are working in factories or other industries, and instead more people are working in businesses or professions that don't need large factories or lots of machines. For example, instead of making furniture or cars in factories, people are now working in offices and stores or as service workers like plumbers, teachers, and food delivery drivers.
