Comparative advantage is like a game. Let's say you and your friend want to build a birdhouse. You are an expert at painting and she is an expert at building the birdhouse. Even though your friend is better at both painting and building, if you and she work together, you can build the birdhouse faster and with more success. This is because you specialize in what you are best at and use that to help your friend. This is called comparative advantage--when two people work together and each person does the work they are best at, the end result is better than if each person had tried to do both tasks.
