A fenceline community is a group of people who live near a fence. This could be a physical fence or even an imaginary line between two different places. Fenceline communities have often formed around factories or large businesses that have put up physical walls to keep people from entering their facility. These people can have a lot of different backgrounds and come from different countries and cultures. They share the same area and may have a lot of things in common, like living close to each other, going to the same schools and shops, or having similar interests. Fenceline communities can be very close-knit and supportive and provide a sense of belonging and safety to the people who live in them.
