NIMBY

NIMBY stands for "Not In My Backyard". It is used to describe people who don't want something they think is bad happening close to where they live or work. For example, some people might not want a factory or an industrial building in their neighborhood because they think it would be too loud or smelly. So they might say NIMBY to show they don't want it there.
