Black women

Black women are people who identify as both African-American and female. African-Americans are people who descended from Africans and their ancestors were brought to the United States a long time ago as slaves. Black women represent a wide variety of experiences, interests, religions, skin tones, and more. Black women are people who live in many different places, and can have many different kinds of jobs. They are mothers, sisters, grandmothers, and friends. They are strong, brave, and kind. Black women are important in our society, and it's important to recognize them for all the unique and amazing things they do!
