Blackbirding

Blackbirding is a very bad thing that some people in the past did. It was when people kidnapped other people and used them to work on ships and on farms in far away places. The kidnapped people were often taken from their homes and families without their permission. This often happened to people who were from different countries or different cultures, but usually didn't happen to people from the same country as the people doing the kidnapping. That is why it is called blackbirding, because it is so wrong.
