Boris I of Bulgaria

Okay, so Boris I of Bulgaria was a really important king a long time ago. He lived in a place called Bulgaria that was part of Europe. When Boris became king, he wanted everyone in his kingdom to believe in the same religion. So he told them all to start following a religion called Christianity.

But that wasn't easy because a lot of people in Bulgaria at that time were following a different religion called Paganism. So Boris talked to some important people from a place called Byzantine and they helped him teach his people about Christianity.

Boris also did some really good things for his kingdom. He made new laws to help protect his people, and he even built some really nice buildings and churches. And because he was so good, he became known as Boris the Great.

Overall, Boris I of Bulgaria was a king who worked hard to make his kingdom a better place, and he is remembered for his great leadership and efforts to bring Christianity to his people.
