Brahmic scripts

Brahmic scripts are a family of writing systems used to write a lot of the languages of India and Southeast Asia. They are like a set of instructions or rules on how to draw letters and other symbols. Each Brahmic script looks different, but they all look similar enough so that someone who can read one Brahmic script can usually read the others too. This is why many languages which are written in Brahmic scripts look very similar!
