ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Brown waste

Brown waste refers to things that are brown in color and come from nature, such as dead leaves, twigs, branches, and even paper. When we mix brown waste with green waste (like grass clippings or kitchen scraps), it helps create a healthy environment for living things called microbes. These tiny creatures eat the waste and turn it into a valuable material called compost, which is used to help plants grow strong and healthy. So, brown waste is important for helping us create healthy soil and grow yummy fruits and veggies!
