Caesura

Caesura is when a break is put in the middle of a line of poetry. It usually happens in the middle of a word, and looks like this: He-llo. The little break in the middle of the word changes how it is read. It can be used by poets to help readers understand the poem more easily, by changing the rhythm and helping highlight certain words.
