A Call Gate is a security feature that Intel processors use to help protect your computer and ensure only trusted programs can run on it. It works by only letting certain programs, or "calls," that have been authenticated by Intel run on your computer. In order to do this, Intel uses a code that is unique to each program and matches it with data in its secure databanks. If the program code matches what Intel has approved, then the program can run. Otherwise, the program will be prevented from running on your computer.
