Cardiac cycle

The cardiac cycle is like taking a really deep breath. The heart is like a big muscle and it pumps blood all around your body. When it pumps, it contracts a bit, and then it relaxes. The contracting and relaxing is the cardiac cycle. It pumps the blood and then it relaxes, pumps and relaxes. This cycle happens over and over again to make sure your body gets the blood it needs.
