Cardiology

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that studies, diagnoses, and treats diseases and conditions of the heart and blood vessels (arteries and veins). Cardiologists are doctors that specialize in cardiology. They use tests like ultrasounds and EKGs (electrocardiograms) to check how the heart is working and to look for problems. They also give medicines to help keep the heart healthy and pumps to help keep blood flowing.
