Caretaker government

Okay kiddo, so you know how when we have a government, there are different people who are in charge of making decisions and running the country? Well, sometimes when there's an election coming up or there's a big change happening, the people in charge might need to take a break or step down so that new people can come in and take over.

When this happens, the government that's currently in power might set up a "caretaker" government. This is a special group of people who are chosen to keep things running smoothly until the new government can be formed.

Think of it like when your parents go on vacation and they ask your aunt or your grandparents to come and stay with you for a little while. They're not your mom and dad, but they're there to make sure you're safe and happy until your parents come back.

Similarly, the caretaker government is there to make sure that everything in the country keeps running smoothly until the new government can be formed. They don't make any big decisions or changes, they just keep things going until the new people in charge are ready to take over.

Once the new government is formed, the caretaker government steps down and goes back to doing their regular jobs. It's kind of like when your aunt or grandparents go back to their own house after your parents come back from vacation.

So that's what a caretaker government is, in a nutshell. It's a group of people who keep things running smoothly until a new government can be formed, kind of like your aunt or grandparents watching over you while your parents are away.
