Catharism

Catharism was a religious group that existed in Europe during the Middle Ages. It was based on the belief that there were two gods - one good and one evil - and that people could only be saved by following the teachings of the good god. People who followed the teachings of the cathars believed that Jesus did not come from God to save them from sin, but was instead an angel sent by the good god to lead people on a better path. People who followed the teachings of the cathars tried to live good lives, avoiding things like greed and violence, and instead focusing on being kind and compassionate towards others.
