Chain drive

Imagine you have a toy car that needs to move forward. You can push it with your hands, but that might not always work. So, how can you make the car move easily without using your hands?

One solution is to use a chain drive. A chain is like a necklace made up of little metal pieces that fit together. When you move part of the chain, the rest of the chain moves too.

Now imagine attaching one end of the chain to the wheels of your toy car and the other end to a spinning wheel. As the spinning wheel turns, it pulls the chain, which in turn moves the wheels of the toy car. This is called a chain drive.

Chain drives are used in many different machines, from bicycles to motorbikes to industrial equipment. They are a simple, efficient way to transfer power from one part of a machine to another. Just like the chain on a bike moves the pedals when you ride, a chain drive can move other parts of a machine to make it work.
