ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Chainlock

Chainlock is a type of security device that keeps things safe by using a special kind of chain. Imagine you have a favorite toy that you don't want anyone to take away from you. To keep it safe, you might put a chain around it and lock it up with a special key. That way, no one can take your toy without the key.

The same idea applies to bigger things like bikes or scooters. A chainlock is made up of a long chain and a lock. The chain is usually made of strong metal and is hard to cut or break. You wrap the chain around the thing you want to keep safe, like a bike, and then lock the ends together with the lock.

The lock is the really important part. It keeps the chain locked in place so no one can take it off. You usually need a special key to unlock the lock and take the chain off.

So, in short, chainlock is a special kind of lock made up of a strong metal chain and a lock that keeps things safe.
