Chemical element
A chemical element is like a type of building block that everything in the universe is made of. Some of the elements you can find in your house include oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon. They are very small and most of them can't be seen without a special tool like a microscope. They are made up of very tiny particles called atoms. Atoms are so small that you can't even see them!
