Child Support

Child support is a way that parents who don't live together make sure that their children have everything they need. When parents split up or get divorced, the parent who doesn't live with the child all the time usually has to pay the other parent some money every month to help take care of the child.

This money helps cover things like food, clothes, housing, and other things the child needs. The amount of money is usually based on how much money the parent makes and how many kids they have.

Child support is really important because it helps make sure that both parents are contributing to the child's well-being even if they don't live together. It's also the law, so if a parent doesn't pay child support, they can get in a lot of trouble.

Remember, child support is not about punishing either parent, it's about making sure the child has the best possible life they can.
