Chimera (mythology)

A chimera is a creature from ancient Greek mythology that is made up of different animals stuck together. It's like when you play with your toys and put different body parts together to make a new creature.

A chimera has three different parts. It has the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a serpent. Imagine if you took a toy lion head, a toy goat body, and a toy snake tail and stuck them together.

In the stories, chimeras were very fierce and strong creatures that were hard to defeat. They could breathe fire and had huge sharp teeth. People were scared of them because they were so different from any other animal they had ever seen.

Nowadays, we don't believe that chimeras are real creatures. But they are still a fun part of mythology, and people still like to imagine what it would be like to see one today.
