ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Chinglish

Chinglish is when people who speak Chinese try to use English words and sentences, but they mix them up in a funny way that makes it hard for English speakers to understand what they are saying. Imagine if you tried to speak a language you weren't very good at, like pretending to talk like a puppet, you might mix up the words and sentences you use and sound a bit silly. That's kind of what Chinglish is like. It's not meant to be mean or disrespectful, just a way for non-native English speakers to communicate in a language they are not completely familiar with.
