City block

A city block is like a big box that has buildings and streets inside it. It's the area between two streets that goes from one corner to the opposite corner. Think of your house, and the houses next to it, and the road outside of your house. Now, imagine a whole bunch of houses and roads all together in one big box. That's a city block! People live and work in the buildings on a city block, and they use the streets to drive their cars, ride their bikes or walk around. City blocks are what make up a city and they can be different sizes depending on where you are.
