Clone (computing)

Cloning in computing is a way to make an exact copy of something. A clone is a copy that is identical to the original in every way. For example, if you have a program on your computer that you want to make a few changes to, you can make a clone of it and then make your changes to the clone rather than changing the original program. That way, if something goes wrong with your changed program, you still have the original.
