A coin is a small, round piece of metal that is used as money. You can buy things with coins just like you can buy things with paper money. Coins come in different colors and sizes, and some of them are made out of different metals like copper, nickel, and silver. You can collect coins from different countries and time periods, and some people really like doing this! Just remember not to put coins in your mouth, they are not candy!
