ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Collective decision-making

Collective decision-making is when a group of people come together to make a choice. Everyone in the group gives their opinion and then votes on what everyone wants. The choice that get the most votes is the one that gets chosen. It's like democracy—everyone in the group gets to decide what the group does. This is different from one person deciding for everyone else because the group gets to choose what happens.
