ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Computational astrophysics

Computational Astrophysics is a field of science that uses computers to help make sense of how stars, planets, galaxies, and other parts of the universe work. It helps scientists learn more about the universe. Computers allow scientists to quickly process complicated data about the way stars and planets move, so they can make predictions about things like the age of the universe, the effects of a black hole, and even how stars will look far into the future.
