Computer-integrated manufacturing

Computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) is a way of making things that uses computers to help people do their jobs more quickly and easily. It's like a factory where everything is run by computers instead of people. At a CIM factory, people working on the assembly line don't actually do the assembly; the computers do it. They just tell the computers what to do, and the computers do it. The computers are also used to design the parts and test them to make sure they work correctly. This way, the factory can run faster and make more things with fewer people.
