Concerted cultivation

Concerted cultivation is when parents, like your own, organize lots of different activities for their children and make sure they attend them on a regular basis. They might schedule things like sports, music lessons, or educational programs to fill up their child's time. This style of parenting tends to lead to children having more opportunities and experiences than children who don't grow up with concerted cultivation.
