Constitutional theory

A constitutional theory is an idea that explains how a government should work. The constitution of a country is like a set of rules that tells the government and its citizens what is allowed and what is not allowed. This set of rules keeps everyone in the country safe and helps people get along with each other. Constitutional theories explain why these rules are important and how they can be used to protect people's rights and freedoms. For example, some constitutional theories focus on protecting people from the government by limiting its power or allowing those who obey the laws to get justice if someone tries to take away their rights. Other theories discuss how the constitution can help citizens feel safe and secure and help create a better society for all members.
