Corn dolly

Have you ever seen a scarecrow? A corn dolly is a similar thing! It's a special type of doll that people make out of corn husks or straw. People used to make them a long time ago to celebrate the harvest, which is when farmers gather all their crops from the field. The corn dolly would be a symbol of good luck for the next year's harvest, so they would hang it up in their home or on their farm. Nowadays, people still make corn dollies as decorations or for fun, but they aren't used for good luck anymore.
