Counterculture of the 1960s

The 1960s was a time when lots of young people (like teenagers) started to question traditional values and beliefs about things like politics, music, fashion, and lifestyle. This movement of young people that didn't follow the traditional values was called a counterculture. People who belonged to the counterculture wanted to create a new way of living that was more open to different kinds of thoughts and creative expression. This expression included things like anti-war protests, psychedelic music, and new styles of fashion like bell bottom jeans and tie dye shirts.
