Covenant (biblical)

A covenant is a special agreement God made with a certain person or the people of a certain place. In the Bible, covenants between God and people can be found in many places. They often talk about how God will act with love and kindness, and how the people should follow him in return. A common example of a covenant is the 10 Commandments, which were given to the Israelites by God.
