Crypt is like a secret code that we can use to make messages and information very hard to understand for people who aren't supposed to know it. It's like a secret language that only the people who know the code can understand.

Think about when you play hide and seek with your friends. You find a hiding spot and you want to make sure no one can find you. So, you come up with a secret signal that only you and your friends know, like you whistle a tune to let them know where you are. This makes it hard for anyone who doesn't know the secret signal to find you.

Crypt is kind of like that, but for information. People use crypt so that if someone tries to steal or read their secret information, they won't be able to understand it because it's all jumbled up and looks like gibberish. Only the people who have the special key, or code, can un-jumble the information and make sense of it.

So, it's like having a lock on a diary where you write down all your secrets. Only you have the key to unlock the diary and read what's inside. Crypt works in a similar way to protect information by making it unreadable to anyone without the correct key.
