ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Curve

A curve is a line that is not straight. You can draw a curve by making lots of small turns in different directions.

Imagine you have a toy car and you want to drive it on a road that is straight. The car will go in a straight line, just like when you play with your train tracks. But if you make a bend in the road, the car will follow the curve and turn with the road.

Curves are everywhere around us, like on slides at the playground or on roller coasters. They make things more fun and interesting because they change direction and keep us guessing about what comes next.

Curves can be big or small, wide or narrow, and they can be created in many different ways. Some curves are smooth and gentle, while others are sharp and zigzaggy. We use curves all the time in art, design, and engineering because they add variety and excitement to our world.
