Cut, copy and paste

Cut, copy, and paste are special tools that help us move things from one place to another on a computer. Cut is like taking something out of a puzzle and keeping it in your hand, so you can put it somewhere else. When you use the cut tool, you remove the thing you want to move from where it was before.

Copy, on the other hand, is like making a new picture of something and keeping it in your hand, so you can show it to someone else. When you use the copy tool, you make a new copy of the thing you want to move, without taking it away from the original spot.

Paste is like putting something flat against a wall with glue. When you use the paste tool, you put the thing you cut or copied into a new spot. It’s like sticking the thing you have in your hand to a new spot.
