DESERTEC

Desertec is a project to provide clean electricity for people in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. It uses the sun’s energy to make electricity, which is different from how we make electricity today, which usually uses non-renewable sources like coal or gas. Desertec uses special panels called solar panels that turn the sun’s energy into electricity. This electricity will be sent across the Mediterranean Sea to Europe and other parts of the world, so that people can have access to clean energy.
