ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Daily light integral

Daily light integral (or DLI) is like a measurement of how much light plants get in one day. It’s important because plants need sunlight to grow and be healthy. When a plant gets too little or too much light, it can become unhealthy and even die. DLI is measured in something called ‘moles of photons’ and tells us how much light the plant can get each day. The more moles of photons, the better!
