Dally Ribbon Roping

Okay kiddo, imagine you’re at a fun fair and you want to play a game with a very special rope called a “Dally Ribbon Roping” rope. This game is all about teamwork and skill.

The rope is divided into two parts: the “head” end and the “tail” end. Two people, let's call them “Partners A and B," will each hold onto one end of the rope. Partner A holds onto the “head” and Partner B holds onto the “tail.”

Partner A will run out to a stick with a ribbon attached to it and untie the ribbon. Then, Partner A will run back to their partner, holding onto the ribbon, and hand it over to Partner B. Partner B will then run out to the same stick, tie the ribbon back on, and run back to their partner holding onto the “tail” of the rope.

The tricky part is that Partner A has to hold onto the rope the entire time and use it to help stabilize and guide Partner B back to the starting point, without letting go of the rope. This takes a lot of practice and communication between partners.

It’s a really fun game and it helps improve teamwork, coordination and communication skills!
