Danja (food)

Danja is a delicious food that comes from West Africa, specifically from countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon. It is also called Eba or Garri. Danja is made from a root vegetable called cassava that is grown in the ground.

To make danja, first, cassava is harvested and then it's cleaned and peeled. After that, it is grated into very small pieces and the excess water is squeezed out. The resulting granules are then roasted in a big pot over heat until they become golden brown. This step is done to remove any remaining moisture in the cassava granules and to give them a unique smoky flavor.

The roasted cassava granules are then ground into a fine powder, which is then mixed with hot water to create a doughy consistency. The mixture is usually stirred vigorously to remove any lumps and to have a smooth texture.

Then, the danja is cooked again for a short time, using heat from a stove. The delicious food is usually served with different soups or stews such as Egusi, Okra, or Ewedu.

Danja is a popular food in West Africa, and many people like it because it is easy to prepare, and it is filling. It's a great source of carbohydrates and energy for the body, and it's very tasty too!
